Carp Rodeo
The Mo River Carp Rodeo
Why is it called a rodeo you might ask? The winning team wins Championship belt buckles for most pounds of carp caught in the day. The buckles are top shelf made by Montana Silversmith and designed by the staff at Big R Fly Shop.
The Rodeo is held on the Missouri River between Pelican Point and Ulm Bridge. Carp can be fished wade fishing, from a boat, jet boat, swim floaties or any other means, as long as they are caught on the fly.
BBQ follows the event, along with the weigh in.
